My History

I've had 12 years in Local Government representing the communities across the GlassHouse Country Region.

In this time I have delivered more than $50 million dollars in infrastructure including

• District Hall
• Library
• Upgraded Aquatic Centre
• Cemetery Upgrades
• Road
• Bridges
• Pathways
• Water and Sewerage
• Tourist Information and Interpretive Centre (, soon to be constructed)

I've supported community, cultural and sporting organisations plus hundreds of hectares of conservation land. I have chaired most Council Committees from Environment to Art, Roads and Infrastructure.

I am a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and have completed the Local Government of Queensland Councillor Town Planning Course. 
 

My Objectives

• To ensure the merger runs as smoothly as possible with the least financial impact on community.
• To protect the values each community has imbedded in it's planning schemes.
• Launch my Affordable Housing Taskforce which I have worked on for three years in conjunction with the professional staff of Caloundra City Council's Community Lifestyle Policy Unit.
• To work with a team of Councillors and a Mayor who values the strengths each Councillor brings to the table. Stronger Council - Stronger Community.
