Three People I'd like to have to Dinner - and Why

  1. Sir Robert Menzies - I have always admired him for his shapping of our nation.
  2. My Father, Mick - because I did not get to know him fully before he died and I have so many questions to ask him, I miss him so much.
  3. Moss Day - He too was an inspiration to me and I would love for him to now see the change for the better that is happening in Nambour and surrounding areas. I always loved to have a chat to Moss after the council meetings and get his perspective on how all is going. He was a true friend to me.

Listened to was...

My Interests
(outside of this election)

I love bushwalking, swimming and getting involved in the community.

My beautiful wife and I have 4 wonderful children and 2 glorious grandchildren and we love them immensely and they certainly are our interest outside of council and elections.

Candidate Profile Paul Tatton

My History

I am a Proven Independent Councillor & candidate for Division 10.

There will be no secret deals if I am elected to the SCRC. I am funding my own campagin and owe no favours to developers, groups or lobbists. As a true independent , I have no political affiliation and no allegiance to anyone other than my constituents and when I vote in council, it is always in their best interest.

When I was first elected to Council 10 years ago, I promised that I would always put the community's interest first and work for their benifit. I believe that I have kept that promise.

I am fully accessable and available to the ratepayers and I hold regular "meet and greet" activities at the Nambour Plaza. I also hold Taskforce meetings which provide a forum for residetns to air their concerns.

If I am re-elected to the new regional Council, I intend to expand these activities to the new areas of Division 10.

My Objectives

• I commit to work hard in the best interest of all communities in Division 10
• I commit to fight against the Ferntree Creek Bioreactor Landfill Dump and the Bridges Industrial area.
• I commit to supporting sensible and responsible planning for Division 10 and the whole Sunshine Coast Regional council area.
• I want to improve the environment and beautify the many areas in Division 10
• I commit to continuing to consult with, listen to and keep residents informed of the many issues concerning the Division 10 and Sunshine Coast Regioanl Council area.

I am passionate about the role the Sunshine Coast Hinterland plays in the lifestyle, tourism and economy of the region and I will strive to ensure it always gets its fair go.
