2. My Mother and Father – in my busy hectic life, I just don’t see these two very important people enough
3. Elvis Presley – it seems to be the trend for campaigning politicians to be rubbing shoulders with celebrities, I reckon the king would get me some attention.

Candidate Profile Bruce Dunne

My History

For several years I owned and operated a successful business in the health and fitness industry, after which I became Maroochy Shire Council Lifeguard Supervisor.

I have held the position of local Councillor for (the current) Division 5 for the past 8 years.

I have the experience, knowledge and drive to deal with the many new challenges and risks that amalgamation has forced upon us.

As the local councillor for the past 8 years, I feel privileged and honoured to serve and represent the area I know and love. 
 

My Objectives

• growth management to protect our lifestyle
• financial management to provide the highest level of services without increasing rates
• environmental management to protect the waterways, beaches and bushland
• good urban design to enhance the character and identity of our towns

I will not allow the amalgamation to diminish the existing quality of life for Division 9 residents.

I will strive to create new revenue streams to keep our rates low.

I will not support over development.

I will use my experience to not waste time or money consolidating your new council.

In creating a new Sunshine Coast Council I will be looking to use the best parts of the three councils to establish a better local government for all the communities and residents of the Sunshine Coast.

I am compelled to making this great place even better.

I have demonstrated to the residents that I am prepared to work hard and be fully committed to achieving results in the best interests of all Division 9 residents
